The Listserv
Our listserv is the working heart of the community. It is where Black mental health professionals share referrals, trade consultations, pass along resources, post opportunities, and help each other through the real stuff of this work.
It is new and growing, so you would be one of the early ones, helping shape what it becomes.
It is a moderated space. New members are approved, and we ask everyone to protect confidentiality and show up with care.
Who it’s for
What moves through it
At the center are Black mental health clinicians: therapists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, associates, prelicensed clinicians, supervisors, and educators.
Around that center, we make room for aligned Black wellness and healing practitioners, somatic practitioners, coaches, doulas, wellness professionals, and spiritual practitioners whose work supports whole-person care. Decolonizing care means honoring the whole web of healing, not only the clinical box. Everyone practices within their own scope, and the membership form helps us route referrals accurately.
Referral requests and referrals offered. Resources, trainings, and reads worth passing on. Jobs and opportunities. Questions and asks when you want input or a recommendation from people who get it. The everyday back-and-forth of a community that shows up for each other, and the kind of support this field does not hand you on its own.
How to join
Because this space runs on trust, joining starts with a short membership request. It helps us understand who you are, how you practice, who you serve, and what you are hoping to find, so referrals actually land where they should. Requests are reviewed to keep the network intentional and aligned.
This network is for Black mental health professionals. Aligned practitioners are welcome across our gatherings and community spaces.
What we ask
We prioritize referrals, reciprocity, and aligned connection over self-promotion. We ask everyone to protect confidentiality, represent their credentials and scope honestly, practice only within their licensure or certification, and engage with care, ethics, and respect.
Coming soon
a place to actually talk
The listserv is for the professional exchange. Next, we are opening a Discord, a space to connect in real time, talk, ask quick questions, and build real relationships beyond referrals.
We are holding off until our first cohort of members is in, so it opens as a warm room and not an empty one. Join the listserv now, and you will be among the first invited when it does.
